Common questions.
What services should a shoe cleaning menu have?
Three cleans and a short list of add-ons is enough for most shops. A quick clean for lightly worn shoes, a deep clean as the one most people pick, and a restoration for the worst pairs. Add-ons like protection and sole whitening sit on top of a clean, not on their own.
How are the prices worked out?
Everything comes from your deep clean price. The quick clean is about 60% of it, restoration about 170%, and each add-on a set share, all rounded to the nearest $5. At a $45 deep clean that gives $25, $45 and $75, with protection at $15 and sole whitening at $20.
How much do add-ons really add?
If 30% of customers add one add-on and your add-ons average $15, every 100 deep cleans bring in $450 more. The average ticket goes from $45 to $49.50 without a single extra customer.
