Common questions.
How many extra customers does a discount need?
It depends on how much you keep per shoe. At a $45 clean that costs you $8, you keep $37. Take 20% off and you keep $28, so you need 133 shoes to make what 100 full-price shoes make. That is about a third more work for the same money.
Is a free add-on better than a discount?
Usually. A free add-on only costs its supplies. A free deodorize that costs $1.50 leaves you $35.50 per shoe on a $45 clean, so 105 shoes match 100 at full price, against 133 for 20% off.
What should I enter as my cost per clean?
Your supplies for one clean, plus your time if you pay yourself by the hour. The free price calculator works it out for you.
